Day 32 - Kimmie Candy Factory Tour & Fleischmann Planetarium

My kids have been asking to go back to Kimmie Candy Factory since we were in Reno last year. Being in Reno this week, Candy Factory was #1 on our to-do list. It only takes about half an hour for the tour, so we added a trip to the planetarium.

I don't know what our kids like more, the behind the scenes look at a candy factory or the factory outlet where they got to choose an "oops" candy to buy. We found this fun candy factory last year while in Reno. I love factory tours so I specifically searched for candy factories near Reno and lucked out with Kimmie Candy. The Fleischmann Planetarium is located at University of Nevada. They are part of the ASTC passport program that I've been using like crazy this summer. The theater is pretty small and so is the free museum, but there was a planetarium show we hadn't seen yet, and since we got free admission, we watched Attack of the Space Pirates. It had really good graphics and the older kids liked learning about stars.
